Of course even a few more conservative investors will find some attraction in the low risk promise of hefty payouts that the right penny stock can offer. In fact, many investors dream of being the one to find that perfect penny stock with absolute potential that will someday become the next LDDS turned WorldCom before the fall. The truth is that little businesses become big businesses everyday. Unfortunately, those that make it to the big leagues are quite few in number when compared to those who do not.
Penny stocks are a great way for small companies to finance growth spurts, smooth over rough spots and manage to become even better. This also gives companies a chance to restructure and by allowing their stocks to be traded as penny stocks they are generating revenue that can be reinvested into the company to great effect. Many times, this is a successful venture for the company but there are many times it isn’t. This is part of the risk that is taken when investing in penny stocks. When the companies manage to pull themselves together, grow at an exceptional rate, and become the company you hope they can become the payouts are amazing. But do not expect immediate results from your penny stock investment.
You should also be aware that many companies use penny stocks in order to run scams on unsuspecting investors. It is nearly impossible to get all the particulars about penny stock companies when investing in penny stocks because unlike those companies that trade with the big boys (NYCE, NASDAQ, etc.) these companies are not required to open their books to potential investors and do not face nearly the same amount of scrutiny that larger corporations face when opening their doors to investors.
But the question of whether or not penny stock trading is for your is going to depend almost entirely on your personal sense of adventure and your willingness to take risks with your money. There are many out there who firmly believe that in order to gain much, you must also be willing to risk much. This is a way of life for many that holds true for them in love, life, and in money. These people are much more capricious with their money and are willing to take the risk without reservation or fear of a negative outcome. These are the people who do wonderfully, win or loose when investing in penny stocks.
On the other end of the spectrum there are those who jealously guard their nest eggs and bank their retirement security upon the funds going in that basket. These are people that are quite likely to find themselves panicking their way through a penny stock investment for many reasons. You can’t really research the companies (a travesty to people who prefer careful planning) and you can’t gain quick and easy access to your funds once invested. This removes some sense of control over you financial health and isn’t a comfortable feeling for investors who like to feel in control. I can definitely relate to those who are in no condition, really, to invest in penny stocks. It’s a frightening investment practice when houses, retirements, braces, and college educations are on the line.
If you are the type to invest in penny stocks without carrying the heavy baggage of worry, stress, and nervous sweats along with you then you may find yourself in the position to change your wealth status. Even if you go against your comfort level and make the investment there is much to gain. Unfortunately the risks in penny stocks are great as well and should not be overlooked or underestimated. So it still boils down to you and the person you are deep down inside. Are penny stocks right for you? Only you can answer that.
Kids made the difference with their hugs November 6, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , comments closedI never was good at having too close of a personal relationship with anyone because of my unstable (for a lack of a better term) childhood. The one thing I knew at a very early age was that I shouldn’t have any children of my own. I was convinced that if I had children I would be unloving, mean, abusive and totally detached as my mother was to me and my siblings.
As I grew physically, mentally and emotionally I analyzed why someone would have babies and then never regard them as anyone or anything of value. My conclusion is that it revolved around ignorance and laziness. My mother didn’t take contraceptives or learn anything about parenting because she didn’t want to. Another contributing factor for her ignorance was that she was a victim of her environment. She certainly didn’t have any good examples to follow from her childhood and so she adapted as a child and accepted that way of life in adulthood.
Enough dwelling on my mother. As I stated I made my decision very early in life not to have children. I lived for my career. I Worked hard, went to college nights and made it well known that I was ready for every promotion I sought.
By the time I reached fifty I had purchased my dream house; the one I was going to retire in (I thought). I was taking long walks on the beach at the crack of dawn, traveling whenever and where ever I wanted and I had no ties. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, lets just label the next chapter of my life as a 360 degree life change.
I am not the type to make decisions impulsively so my decision to bring two boys into my life and my home was after a long assessment of the situation. My sister had three children and her oldest was already out on her own after having a baby at sixteen. My two nephews were twelve and nine. Both of them were doing below grade level in school and had enormous freedom to come and go as they pleased. So many factors revolved around me taking custody of the boys that I could write a book but I will spare you. I knew that I could make a difference for them financially but also I saw an opportunity to further break up that pattern in our family of poor education, lack of standards and expectations and set a good example of hard work pays off.
So, twelve years ago I brought two boys into my life so I could teach them how to pursue a better quality of life by getting a good education and working hard for the things they want. What I got in exchange was them teaching me how to open my heart and let love into it for the first time in my life. These guys have made me laugh, made me cry, and helped bring out the mothering qualities I never thought I had. They convinced me that I would have made a wonderful mother. They are twenty-five and twenty-one, well educated, in loving relationships and working hard toward goals and dreams that they have set for themselves. I see them often and always have my arms and heart open for all the hugs and “I love yous” they have to offer.
So, as I plan my retirement I look around my house that is purposely in a neighborhood with lots of children, a town known for its multitude of children programs and in a school district recognized state wide for its academic excellence. I chose this town and house especially for the boys and get teary eyed as I plan to sell. But, those tears are short lived when I think of how great they did and how proud I am that I could help to groom them into wonderful, productive, society contributing young men. I also know that with the three of us breaking that pattern in the family of non-educated, non-productive and lacking motivation there is hope and high expectations for future generations of this family.

I recently went on a road trip and honestly probably would never have made it back had it not been for my trusty Garmin!

Top 10 Scariest Movies Ever - Everybody loves a good scary movie. The next time you are in the mood for a freight, just check out my list and take your pick. I watch a lot of movies and even though there have been some great new additions to the horror genre recently (the Saw series among others), you’ll notice that my list is dominated with all the classics. I tried hard to fit in some of the more modern efforts but I couldn’t not include any of those in my top 10. The Silence Of The Lambs is the youngest of the lot and it was released 17 years ago. So come on horror directors/writers, get the finger out!
Now here is my second lens about GPS systems that will help you to find driving directions quickest. In my opinion in the not too distant future not carrying a quality GPS system will become as rare as not carrying a time piece. More than likely peoples watches will include GPS systems built in.
And if none of this interests you, why not entertain your family and friends and learn card tricks…
Improve Search Engine Ranking Using Proven Technique November 5, 2008

My testing shows that these links appear within days of submission, and are not your average backlink either. Many of these links are from high page rank sites; of PR 4 and higher.
I think that it is universally accepted in SEO circles that getting links to your sites is critical to achieve any success. And the more authority that the sites providing the link have, the better for you. It makes sense after all. A vote from a well established site that is an expert in their field is going to carry a lot more weight than a site that has only been up for 10 minutes.
