Multiple Income Streams Create Security October 28, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , comments closedIt has always been true, especially in this economy, that multiple streams of income can create security. People used to believe that working for a large company with great benefits was security. And it was back in the days when companies actually cared about their workers and took care of them if they were sick and after they retired. Those days are gone.
With the current economy in a wreck and likely to be so for years most people would be wise to act now to start building additional streams of income. Once you have several different streams of income if one dries up you still have other streams generating money. That sounds more secure then waiting to get laid off and collecting unemployment for who knows how long.
If you look at traditional job you get paid to work. That is time for money. If you do not put in the time, you do not make any money. In our opinion we like the idea of no time for money. That is spend your time building revenue streams that can earn you money even when you are no longer putting in time on the project.
There are many different ways of making money with multiple streams of income. Some require you to have money or assets to invest. For example if you have money in a savings account earning you interest that is a stream of income. Or if you own stocks that pay dividends on a regular basis that is a revenue stream. Both of those methods do not take much of your time, but you do need money.
Other options include starting a business or businesses that can earn you money even when you are not working. The best ways to accomplish this in our opinion is either network marking or Internet marketing. Both of these be done form home on a full time or part-time basis.
Beginning Guitar Lessons October 28, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , comments closedPerforming music is one of the most exhilarating things of this world. Don’t miss out on it because you’re too scared. Video guitar lessons online are for people who know absolutely nothing about the music except that they want to learn to play guitar. I am a self-taught guitarist so I know exactly what that’s like. No teacher or musical knowledge is required. Learn from looking at diagrams, photos and listening.
Thousands of people all around the world, who do not play musical instruments, may wish they had taken lessons at some point in their life. Learning to play an instrument takes plenty of patience and a bit of time. This popular style of guitar playing has transcended just about every genre of music from country to heavy metal. Some lessons focus on the blues in their more traditional forms from the Delta to Chicago, from Memphis to Austin. So see if the course offers online music help with the lessons. Having a real person to answer your questions throughout the course can be a lifesaver!
Great lessons are basically a smaller part of modern music (rock, punk and alternative especially) uses a type of barre chord called power chords. The notes are the funny wriggly signs on the music sheet. They way you place your fingers on the fretboard - that is the area dirctly under the guitar strings, how you position your fingers and how you move from one postion to the next will determine the sound that comes out when you pluck or strum with the other hand. Guitar lessons are a great way to learn all of the techniques that you need to become an accomplished musician. Whether you like to perform for your friends, play for yourself, or aspire to be a well-known musician who travels the world to play in front of audiences, you can get the knowledge that you need from a good class.
There’s classical playing which involves learning to read music, and beginning with easy pieces, getting to know the techniques used in classical guitar playing. There are several basic classical guitar techniques, and becoming fluent in this style of playing needs quite a bit of time and devotion. There are sites dedicated to helping serious intermediate and advanced guitarists become the best musicians they can be. If you are in a quandary about some guitar related issue, the more expert advice you get, the better. As far as beginners guitar music is concerned, some of the things I like to have beginners focus on are hand and body positions, holding the guitar, holding the pick, and learning the names of the strings and notes.
You can learn how to play songs, how to repair your broken instrument, how to play fancy scales, and much more. The trouble is, there just aren’t many GOOD guitar lessons available to someone looking to start playing guitar. Teaching people of all ages how to play guitar and teaching people to play the songs they love by their favorite artists. We accomplish this by creating great resources and products designed specifically to allow the true beginner to have fun and play great music.
Dog Kennel Training October 28, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , comments closedThere is some controversy about dog kennel training. Many believe that cages, kennels and dog crates are today’s answer to quick convenient punishment. Although not as much controversy as there is about dog collars that choke a dog and give them electric shocks. Many dogs find comfort in their own place and some find quite strange places to call their own - the washing basket, the tumble drier, the bottom drawer…
When dog kennel training you must ensure that you do not put your dog in there when he has been bad as tempting as it may be. Also dogs can’t be in the kennel for more than four hours due to the fact that they will need to stretch and need to the toilet. Many dogs start to feel uncomfortable after four hours and then they begin to get anxious. Sometimes the kennel isn’t the blessing some think it is. A lot of people aren’t using kennels properly and therefore end up with more problems then they had started with.
You firstly need to identify the problem that you are using dog kennel training for, it is for housebreaking? Chewing? Making a mess? Once you have identified the problem you then need to utilize the cage to your advantage. All dogs should feel at home when they enter their cage. Food and water should always be available to them and comfortable bedding. For chewing problems dog chew toys should be available in the kennel and no where else and if he is caught chewing show him his chew toy instead don’t shout at him. Housebreaking is a little bit harder. Most dogs will not do their business where they sleep. So once you notice your dog start to get uncomfortable in his kennel take him out and let him do his business, once he has praise him and continue to repeat. Dog kennel training needs a lot of attention and probably aimed at dogs that are very stubborn and hard to train.
You may think caging up a dog is cruel but in truth its not, what happened to us when we were small? We were left in our cot or playpen to play, that is what you are doing to your dog, nothing cruel or inhumane just practical. Kennels are a little bit expensive to buy so make sure that you want to follow dog training kennels methods to the end before purchasing one.
Market Bubbles that Burst - Is anything original Today? October 27, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , comments closedThe marketing trauma dejour - throughout time, markets have experienced a crowd mindset. The more heated a market gets, the more individuals want to invest, and the higher the prices are driven.
This mindset has occured throughout history and the cycles can be studied consistently. Professor Watson teaches corporate business ethics and the role of the market economy. Regardless of whether we want to analyze recent real estate markets which have Broke, these scenarios are not new. They have consistently occurred throughout time.
One of the most discussed historical markets that popped was Amsterdam’s Tuplip economy. We can study the Tulipmania of the tulip market that burst in 1637 as a popularly reported historical account of a industry that overheated.
Tulips were originally introduced from Turkey in the early 16th century. As new “varieties” of tulips were marketed, competition intensified and their prices soared. One honestly rare variety was the Semper Augustus which reached values in excess of 1,000 florins per single bulb in 1623. That price was more than six times the average annual wage.
This economic mania continued - and ten years later the value had increased another ten times. At the market height, the value of a single Semper Augustus bulb reached 10,000 florins - the value of what it cost to buy a house in central Amsterdam at the time.
With time the market peaked and there was no-one left who still wanted to acquire these tulips at such high valuations. Within months, the market price crashed and thousands of people were left in economic ruin.
Throughout history - we have seen similar bubbles reoccur. As the crowd continues to get more excited, those contrary voices become less and less popular to be heard. Are any of the recent market bubbles any different? In today’s environment of PC speech, are the contrarian voices that speak up for morality, ethics, and integrity any different? Throughout time, these contrarian voices have been demeaned and ignored. But the market for products and the market for principles has a way of always correcting itself from the heat of the crowd mentality - and those politically correct views tend to have their bubbles burst as the neccessary correction occurs. Today’s market is no different.
Plain Old-Fashioned Harassment, Part 3 October 27, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , comments closedThis article is the last of a three-part discussion on the nature of, and relationship between, cyber-bullies, griefers and the legal concept of harassment.
Because the terms “cyber-bully” and “griefer” are often tossed around interchangeably, I began the first part of our discussion by clarifying the term “griefer.” Next, in the second part, I clarifyied the term “cyber-bully,” and by explaining (in both cases) when and under which circumstances the two terms were meaningfully distinguished.
I will begin this section by introducing the legal term harassment.
Where Cyber-Bullying Becomes Harassment
We can certainly get picky over whether we’re looking at a simple case of “griefing” or “cyber-bullying” or whatever else you might prefer to call it. But, whenever we’re looking at conduct that substantially interferes with the education or physical or mental health of a student, or that threatens or intimidates a student — we are at the same time, looking at what the courts have overwhelmingly held as “plain, old-fashioned harassment.”
Once the perpetrator has engaged in harassment, the law could care less whether they were doing so while playing an online game (as a “griefer”), or whether they were just being malicious to a fellow student (as a “cyber-bully”). Either case, a pattern of inappropriate, disrespectful behaviors, becomes unlawful when (a) enduring the offensive conduct becomes a condition of continued education (for the victim), or (b) when the conduct is severe or pervasive enough to create an educational environment that a third party, reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive.
“Online harassment,” aside from occurring in an online environment, can still be construed as simple harassment. It can be direct or indirect, where direct online harassment would include threats, intimidating messages and/ or bullying that is sent directly to a victim by E-mail or other kinds of online communication, or by hindering the victim’s internet service, by hacking.
Chat rooms, instant messaging services, and social networking sites are all among the most popular places for cyberbullying, and account for mostly all instances of online harassment.
Online harassment can even follow the victim home. Two of the more important things we learn by looking at cyber-bullying from what the legal system says, is that (a) where harassment is found, the responsibility for creating a safe and respectful working environment is placed on the manager; and (b) schools have a legal responsibility to intervene when the principal knows or suspects students are being harassed. Ignorance is no defence because, according to law, the director either knew about the harassment, or should have known.
One way to intervene is to punish. But, before punishing students, schools must draw a distinction between harassment and student expression (i.e., free speech) that is protected by law.
“. . . schools do not need to wait to respond to conduct until it gets to the point where it may be punished. Schools may respond to such conduct in ways other than punishment. In fact, they have a responsibility to do so. For example, if a teacher were to overhear a student directing a homophobic slur at another student, they would have a positive legal responsibility to explain why such language is inappropriate and harmful. The teacher should also point out that if such conduct continues, they could be subject to punishment. There is no better way to prevent student harassment than to educate managers about why slurs and other harassing behaviors are harmful.”
- ACLU
By narrowly tailoring its punishments to fit the case at hand, a school strikes the proper balance between two equally important and entirely compatible constitutional rights — the right to equal protection of the laws and the right to free speech.
Insofar as my professional training does not lie directly in the area of law, I think it best at this point to simply direct your attention to the ACLU, which provides a model anti-harassment policy that can prevent harassment without violating student’s free speech rights. Great job.

2 Lifestyle Changes That Can Heal Stretch Marks October 26, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , comments closedStretch marks develop when the skin is stretched over its limits or “prematurely.” When bodybuilding or during pregnancy, certain areas of our body expand very quickly that our skin doesn’t have time to grow and provide room for the expansion. Therefore, our skin slowly tears and develops noticeable scars, which we know as stretch marks. Fortunately there are ways to heal stretch marks—you just need to know which ones are the most effective.
There are a lot of ways of stretch mark removal but you can also heal stretch marks by going on a diet. But you need to go on the right kind of diet. The problem with many people is that they think losing weight fast is the best way to treat or prevent stretch marks. The truth is, both rapid weight gain and weight loss can cause stretch marks. So go on a diet to get proper nutrition and lose weight gradually. Proper nutrition helps the skin get all the vitamins and minerals it needs to function well. If you have healthy skin, the more flexible it is and therefore less prone to stretch marks. Your skin will also be able to produce more healthy skin cells and effectively repair existing stretch marks.
Just as you need a proper diet, you also need to do the right kind of exercises. As mentioned earlier, bodybuilding can cause stretch marks. When you do bodybuilding workouts, you tend to gain muscles quickly, therefore stretching your skin extensively at the same time. So the key here is to exercise for gradual toning of muscles and weight loss. Exercise to improve blood circulation. With proper blood circulation, nutrients will be able to reach your skin effectively. Although exercise alone can’t heal stretch marks fast, it will give you a good overall sense of self and motivate you to eat right and live a healthy lifestyle. All this can contribute to good skin and the prevention of many skin conditions, including stretch marks. However, preventing stretch marks in the first place would be very good advice for those who want clear flawless skin.
