The Maestro modular office furniture November 4, 2008
Posted by office2008 in : General , trackbackThe Maestro range of office furniture manufactured by Dams Office Furniture is probably the most successful ranges of business furniture ever produced. The success of Maestro office furniture is based upon a winning formula of Maestro offering excellent value, Maestro furniture is very dureable and functional, and Maestro offers a wide choice of modular furniture products. Maestro is an excellent product range for either budget conscious businesses or the home office furniture buyer.
Maestro desks are available in a choice of three basic shapes (rectangular, wave and ergonomic L shaped desks) each with a selection of sizes and a choice of leg designs between wooden panel end and the more popular metal cantilever design. In past years Maestro products have been sold in many different MFC wood finishes. Recently the range has been limited to a choice of beech or oak woodgrain finish, though the cherry finish and light grey products have only recently been phased out and in some cases residual stocks may still be available.
If there is a possible shortcoming of Maestro furniture, it is the fact that it is constructed from 18mm MFC woodgrain effect chipboard which can make it look a little too inexpensive for some customers requirements, though it’s hard wearing rugged durability should not be doubted despite its low cost. The business office furniture market has leaned firmly towards 25mm furniture ranges over the last few years which generally looks a lot more expensive. A good compromise as an upgrade path from Maestro furniture is the Maestro 25 range (also known as M25 furniture).
Maestro 25 desking is generally around 10% or 15% more expensive than Maestro desks, but they appear a much better quality and give a more positive impression. The two furniture ranges can be fitted in the same office and will not stick out like a sore thumb. The main factor to note is that M25 desking products only come in standard metric sizes (800mm deep and metric widths like 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm etc.) whereas Maestro desking comes in unusual depths and widths (746mm deep and widths such as 1228mm, 1532mm, 1778mm etc.) This size issue is only a problem if you intend to add a Maestro 25 desk adjacent to a cluster of 18mm Maestro desks.
